| | | | One of the most valuable applications of the MBTI® instrument is in helping individuals understand their “normal” way of being, and how their natural preferences affect workplace factors such as communication, work motivators, and team interactions. However, a recent study reports that close to half of U.S. employees experience persistent stress or excessive anxiety in their daily lives – so an important type question arises: How can the MBTI instrument help workers who aren’t acting “normal” because they’re stressed out at work? This workshop explores applications of the MBTI instrument to stress in the workplace. Topics addressed include: - What is naturally energizing for each type at work
- Common stress triggers for each of the eight Jungian functions
- The mechanics of type reactions under stress
- Characteristics of each type when “in the grip” of the inferior function
- Strategies for returning to equilibrium and “regaining your grip”
- How “grip” experiences can contribute to work performance, self-awareness and personality development
