About Us

Patrick L. Kerwin, MBA, NCC, MCC

Patrick Kerwin is principal of Kerwin &  Associates, specializing in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® training and consulting, workshop design and delivery, and career development.  

An MBTI® Certified Professional, Patrick has over 17 years experience applying the MBTI instrument with corporate and educational organizations to build teams, improve communication, and facilitate career development.   He is one of five MBTI Qualifying Program faculty for the American Management Association, and one of 12 MBTI Qualifying Program faculty for the Association for Psychological Type, and has delivered the MBTI Qualifying Program throughout the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. 

Patrick is the author of the Kerwin Values Survey® career values assessment, and conducts workshops on career values to help employees and organizations create greater workplace satisfaction.  In addition, Patrick trains counselors on applications of the KVS, MBTI, and Strong Interest Inventory® assessments, and has taught the Strong Interest Inventory Qualifying Program.

A National Certified Counselor and Master Career Counselor, Patrick has taught in the Masters of Counseling program at the University of San Diego, and for 11 years was an adjunct faculty member and part-time counselor at Santa Monica College.  In his"first life,"Patrick spent over six years in finance and management with Fortune 500 and small business organizations.

Patrick is the founder and President of SANDAPT, the San Diego chapter of the Association for Psychological Type. A former President of the California Career Development Association, Patrick holds his MBA and Career Counseling Specialist Graduate Certificate from California State University, Long Beach.
