Kerwin Values Surveyฎ

By Patrick L. Kerwin, MBA, NCC, MCC

This unique and powerful career values assessment can help individuals who are:

  • Changing careers
  • Choosing first careers
  • Assessing potential work or career opportunities
  • Looking to make changes in their current work
  • Preparing for the job search

Most values assessment focus primarily on what is most important to someone – no doubt an important consideration, but not enough on its own.For work to be satisfying, you need to get what you want – and avoid what you don’t want!

The Kerwin Values Survey (KVS) identifies what you must have in your work, would like to have in your work, and also what you most want to avoid in your work.  These three levels of analysis helps individuals more accurately evaluate their work and career alternatives, and make better and more informed decisions as a result.

What else makes the KVS different from other values tools?

  • Each KVS includes the 12 page KVS assessment booklet, plus  95 values cards organized into five groups:
    • Purpose – why you work
    • Process – how you do your work
    • People – the people you work with
    • Payback – what you get back from your work
    • Place – where you work
  • Blank values cards, allowing additional values to be written in, resulting in more individualized, useful, and meaningful career values results.
  • Sorting language that reflects the language that people reallyuse when talking about career values: what they “must have,” would “like to have,” and “want to avoid” in their work.
  • The valuable “Career Values Congruence Worksheet” for assessing the congruence of work or career options with essential career values.
  • Instructions and tips for evaluating career values congruence, and for actively using career values in the ongoing career development process!

How many KVS Booklets would you like to order?
